I have always loved the look of the Porsche 917 so I picked up this kit cheap off ebay. It suffers from age and is identical to the Heller kit with the exception of the tail piece. The Heller kit (which I also have) is a "standard" 917.
The fit of the kit is quite bad, with the body being warped. The engine also sits too high in the chassis resulting in the tail not fitting properly when closed. I modified the engine and mounts, but the rear body work still doesn't fit very well.
The decals, on the other hand, fit very well and went down with no trouble.
